Medical Condition
POTS and Dysautonomia
Overview
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) imposes a significant burden on patient quality of life and presents diagnostic and management challenges for clinicians. Delays in diagnosis are common, and misattribution to anxiety or psychosomatic causes remains a concern. Improved awareness of the neuroinflammatory and infectious underpinnings may lead to more accurate diagnoses, better stratification of patients, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies that address the root causes of dysautonomia.
